CASE STUDY: WINDOWS 8 LAUNCH
TARGET: NYC-based music fans and cultural influencers
GOAL: To introduce Windows 8 to music fans and cultural influencers in NYC
PROGRAM: FILTER was approached to help curate and produce a special New York-themed evening as part of Microtropolis, a Manhattan-based exhibit created to promote the launch of Microsoft’s Windows 8.
So, spurred on by our motto that Good Music Will Prevail, FILTER brought together a few of our favorite NYC-based musicians for a nighttime event at Microtropolis that celebrated music inspired by New York. Through NY-themed DJ sets by Albert Hammond Jr. (The Strokes) and Sinkane, plus a live performance by popular NYC band Caveman, attendees experienced a taste of why FILTER loves Manhattan.
RESULT: Successfully integrated a music strategy into overall Microtropolis Windows 8 launch in NY and was one of the most well attended of the event-series.
